Avast offers more than just antivirus protection. Avast has become a popular option for gamers. However, certain games can cause it to slow down your PC or cause interruption to gameplay. To address these issues, Avast has added a new feature known as “Silent Gaming Mode.” This feature turns off all notifications and alerts when you are playing a game. This lets you concentrate on your game instead of worrying about the performance of your computer.
It is important to know that when this mode is activated all antivirus protection features are in use. This includes a threat detection scan and a virus scanner and advanced features. If you are worried about how any of these features are that could affect your PC’s performance you can disable them before using the Silent Gaming Mode.
The first thing you will have to do is sure that your system meets the system requirements required by Avast’s silent mode. This means that you’ll require at least a Pentium 3 processor, 20 GB free space, and at the very least 500 MB RAM.
Click on the “Notifications tab” in the Avast settings once you have met the minimum system requirements. You’ll need to select the box at the top of the menu that says “Don’t display any pop-ups, alerts or messages (Silent gaming mode)” to enable this mode.
